Solomon Buchi Raises Eyebrows With Controversial Statement About ‘Indecently’ Dressed Women
Nigerian relationship expert, Solomon Buchi has made a controversial statement on his Twitter account.
According to the renowned social media influencer and relationship expert, men who do not assault or molest ‘indecently’ or ‘drunk’ women should be paid at least the sum of N2 million. The relationship expert has since taken down the post after he was called out by netizens for his controversial point of view.
Taking to Twitter, Solomon Buchi in a now-deleted post wrote,
“When a man doesn’t rape an indecently dressed woman or a drunk woman, he should be rewarded with like 2M Naira. It’s not easy to be a decent human being.”

The statement did not well received by several social media users. Solomon Buchi has since taken to social media to claim he was being sarcastic and his point of view was misconstrued.
Here is what netizens have to say about his statement.
Solomon Buchi should have made that tweet on the original post for context. Once people read "rape," their brain shut down and all they see is rapist and rape apologist.
But the tweet has nothing to do with rape. Context is a bastard sha. O ti lo

We will never thank Ariyike enough for marrying Solomon Buchi so no other women have to to deal with him and his dingy ass. God will bless her.

Rape is too sensitive a topic for you to gaffe on. You further added indecent dressing which has been used as a lame excuse by rapists. That’s quite synical and insensitive of you. Do you realise how many persons you would relived their trauma by that foolish tweet? pic.twitter.com/kzGbnvoVUo

Solomon Buchi remains a very vile man…. You can only imagine what he has been fantasising about before he finally wrote this tweet.
He feels the urge to rape indecently dressed women, because he doesn't, he deserves 2 million naira… Wow! pic.twitter.com/KUl1t0Z0Uk— Chidubem (@amchidox) March 24, 2023

I know Solomon Buchi explained that tweet but c’mmon, for someone who prides himself on how knowledgeable, intelligent and thoughtful he is, that was very terrible. You don’t and can’t cite examples of sarcasm using rape, murder and the likes. He should know this. See the uproar.

What was Solomon Buchi thinking to ever tweet this type of a tweet?
What came over him?
This is an embarrassing tweet.
The Solomon Buchi I use to know when he was active on Facebook is smart and intelligent.
This one on twitter is something else. pic.twitter.com/bHUmSp36X5

Solomon Buchi started his partner’s birthday message with: you’re not the most beautiful, you’re not the smartest and she still went on to marry him. I think she knows her man too well and she loves the way he is

Solomon Buchi Tenders Apology
He has now tendered an apology for his controversial statement.
Here is what he had to say,
“The tweet I made about rape was me innocently trying to paint an equivalence of how people should not be rewarded for not committing crime, especially about the argument that 50K wasn’t a good enough ‘reward’ for him returning 10m that doesn’t belong to him. People should be decent for decency sake.
However, that didn’t go well. I should have been more sensitive with my wording. I never intended to sound insensitive. In fact, I was riled by how much people tried justifying rewarding not committing crime. I apologize. It was a gaffe. Again, I apologize.”
