Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC) on Saturday dismissed reports that he has supported the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
MDB reports that a social media post claimed that Sowore asked his counterparts on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party to accept the outcome of last Saturday’s poll and discontinue their legal action against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
But debunking the quotes ascribed to him via a Twitter post, the media entrepreneur said the 2023 presidential election was “blatantly and brazenly rigged”.

“I do not support fraud! There is no “President-Elect” anywhere when elections are blatantly and brazenly rigged,” Sowore wrote.
MDB reports that Sowore was one of the 18 candidates on the ballot, but he ended up in 16th place with only 14,608 votes, less than half of the 33,953 votes he scored when he contested in 2019, an election President Muhammadu Buhari won.
