Adebayo explained:
The Examinations Board wishes to inform Public Junior Secondary Schools, approved Private Junior Secondary and Special Schools that deadline for Payment and Registration for the Year 2023 BECE earlier fixed for April 14 has been extended to April 28 2023.
According to the statement, the extension became necessary due to the hitches encountered by schools arising from the network problem to the current economic realities.
The hitches also range from Central Bank cashless policy which made the processes cumbersome for most schools, and epileptic Network Services, hence the decision.
Adebayo added that the extension is to give room for most approved private and special schools in the state who are yet to register their candidates to do so.
The Director said that the Board does not wish to deny any school and its candidates the opportunity of taking part in the examination.
He added:
To this end, the Examinations Board, therefore, implores all affected schools to use this opportunity as excuses will not be entertained after the expiration of the new date.
