The super star’s most recent album of the same name was released before to the show.
Six hours after the album’s release, on March 31, it had gathered over a million streams on the music streaming service Boomplay.
Following the passing of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in the family pool in November, Davido took an extended vacation before releasing the album, which served as an announcement of his return to the music scene.
When the album was released, it immediately shot to the top of the charts in Nigeria, the UK, and Apple Music.
The album smashed Spotify’s record for the largest first-day stream total for albums on Spotify NG within 24 hours of its debut with a whopping 4.91 million streams.
