Nedu criticized women in a video that was uploaded on his Instagram page, saying that most of them cause individuals lose interest in marriage. He declared that marital love no longer exists.
The TV presenter said;
I don’t know if you people have seen that video or the pictures or the message of that PSG footballer called Hakimi who claimed to be 24-year-old and his wife is asking for a divorce. And demand 50 per cent of his property.
You see that marriage is dead? In fact, if people believed anything in marriage before, with what’s happening in marriage in the whole world, people wouldn’t want to get married anymore.
Most women, many of you, make some people not be interested in marriage because you have turned the thing into a poverty alleviation scheme.
On social media, he received harsh criticism for his remarks. People called him insensitive and said he shouldn’t address every relationship issue.
Nedu made the decision to express his regret in a series of posts on his Instagram story, noting that his pay is provided by their coffers.
The OAP emphasized that he would stop saying things that most people find offensive.
He wrote;
Sincere apologies to those hurt by my Hakimi video. It’s totally taken out of context. Regardless, I sincerely apologize. It’s you guys that’s paying my salary, so whatever doesn’t sit well with you all won’t be entertained by me. God bless you all. Love and light.
