The president-elect of the Labour Party in the recently-concluded general elections, Peter Obi, has come under fire from the national publicity secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Felix Morka, for making allegations against the party.
During a Wednesday appearance on Arise Television, Felix Morka said that the former governor of Anambra had crossed the line and insisted that the accusation was absurd.
Peter Obi has said he is ready to go all the way, legally, to ensure he reclaims his mandate.
Obi stated this when he met with Labour Party leaders in Akwa, Anambra State.
The presidential candidate, in a tweet, said he will explore every legal option to get back his mandate.
Obi has since filed a petition at the Tribunal disputing the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election. He came third in the election after People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar who has also filed a petition at the Tribunal.
In response, Morka said;
Peter Obi is really crossing the line, the campaigns are over, he needs to relax and allow his lawyers to handle his case at the tribunal, accusing the APC of attacking his personal life is ridiculous.
Obi has been way too sanctimonious for someone who volunteered to venture into politics and run for the presidency.
He did not win the elections, he came a distant third, and he has made a political capital of exploiting people’s vulnerabilities.
