President Muhammadu Buhari has moved to the Glass House from the Presidential Villa, where he previously had his official residence.
According to MDB, this was accomplished in order to prepare for President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.

During the changeover period, the outgoing president and their spouse have lived in The Glass House.
The Glass House, which offers a symbolic and useful room for the departing president and their spouse, has historically played a significant role in the transfer of power.
The relocation of the President was made known by the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, in a video on her Instagram page after showing the incoming First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu around the State House.

Meanwhile, the wife of the President-elect, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has visited the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Mrs. Tinubu visited Aso Rock for a familiarisation visit and tour ahead of the May 29 inauguration of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.
The new first lady was shown some important parts of Aso Rock, the presidential family’s official residence, by Mrs. Buhari.
Nevertheless, during the tour, some areas of the facility were off-limits to journalists.
