President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima, will receive National Honours on Thursday, May 25.
Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) are two national honours that will be bestowed upon them both.
Tolu Ogunlesi, the president’s special assistant for digital and new media, made a brief remark that he posted on Twitter.
Ogunlesi claimed that the official transfer of the Transition Documents to the new Administration will take place on the same day.
In his view, this process will be the most organized and seamless Presidential Transition in the history of Nigeria, enabled by Executive Order 14 signed by President Buhari.
