President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sworn in as the 16th democratically elected President of Nigeria.
Tinubu was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kayode Ariowola.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor, takes over from former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
This is coming a few minutes after the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, was also administered the oath of office.
He was sworn-in after the President-elect, Kashim Shettima, took his oath of office.
The new President won the 2023 presidential election after defeating the likes of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
