Bola Tinubu, the country’s incoming president, pledged on Wednesday to strive equally for the nation without excluding any group from areas of growth.
This was said by Tinubu during a two-day trip to Rivers State at the governor’s invitation, Nyesom Wike, who he accompanied to officially open several projects.

This information was revealed in a statement released by the Office of the President-elect and signed by Abdulaziz Abdulaziz.
“I will not marginalise any region, but will leave legacy projects across the length and breadth of Nigeria,” the President-elect said at the opening of the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover bridge.
Tinubu praised Wike for the state’s development achievements, especially the 12 flyovers built throughout Port Harcourt, the capital, saying that future generations would do him a favour by remembering him.
Further, Tinubu claimed that Wike’s success in Rivers demonstrated the need for his services at higher levels in Nigeria.
He also thanked the state’s residents for their support during the presidential election on February 25 and reassured them that he would keep the commitments he made to the state throughout the campaign.

In His Excellency, Governor Wike, I see a man of principle. He took a principled stand that the presidency should be returned to the South; and he had the courage to stand by his convictions, not minding whose ox was gored.
He is, indeed, a man of great integrity. He did not choose to serve his own interests, but rather, the interests of the nation and the people of Rivers State. I thank him for his selfless leadership.
