Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the director general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), has come under fire on Twitter for failing to post any photos with the president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, despite doing so when she met other world leaders and notable individuals at the New Global Financing Pact summit in Paris, France.

When her Twitter account was checked, it revealed older tweets and images of Okonjo-Iweala with famous people and foreign leaders, but none included President Tinubu.
Some Nigerians scoffed at her behaviour and chastised her for not getting even a selfie with her president at the conference.
Peter Obi, her favourite choice, was thought by some to have lost the election, which would have her not acknowledge Tinubu.

Some Nigerians called her recent post capturing Tinubu as damage control saying she bowed to pressure after the backlash she got on Twitter.
In the aftermath of the criticism, the former Finance Minister revealed that the attacks were “unwarranted.”
She tweeted;
Nigerians please relax! Re Paris, Interesting attacks from both sides. Sadly shows the depth of polarization in our society. I post photos in the order received by accompanying staff or colleagues. Reading more into it is unwarranted. Let’s unite to build our country not attack!
