Several Muslims have criticised a musician named Olamilekan Taiwo, alias Logos Olori, who is connected to pop artist David Adeleke’s record label, Davido song Worldwide, over the teaser of his song video titled Jaye Lo, which was published on Friday, July 21, 2023.
The 45-second video showed some males dancing in front of a mosque while donning white jalabia and hats.
Olori also perched on a speaker that was fixed to the structure’s roof.

Some of their fans, particularly Muslims, were offended by this and the fact that the vocalist used the word Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), and they criticised it.
Davido had posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “Allow me to re-introduce Logos Olori with his new single, ’Jaye Lo.’ Let us run it up one time! Let’s take over the world. DMW.”
However, Muslims have criticised the artistes for their disrespect to Islam.
Here is a section of tweets on the matter:
Islamic leaders should take a serious action against that stupid boy (Davido) including everyone in that stupid video.

Let me say this FACT boldly. Davido never regards his Muslim fans as anything more especially the northern Nigeria (Arewa), when they’re the ones that took him to where he’s today.
The highest money he ever received in his entire lifetime is a northerner that gave it to him.

Davido should delete that Jaye Lo video & apologize to Muslims as an act of respect; It's common knowledge that the mosque is a sacred place, plus Muslims don't condone any act/behavior that goes against their faith. Creativity is fine, but respect people's religion & cultures.
