In light of Nigeria’s economic woes, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie expressed hope that President Bola Tinubu will dry Nigerians’ tears.
On Wednesday, Edochie assured his followers of this in a statement posted on his verified Instagram account.

He stated, “I’ll keep praying for you Sir. @officialasiwajubat. For God to give you long life and good health to deliver the good plans you have for Nigeria.
“Nigerians have suffered so much. And I believe you’ll wipe the tears and make Nigeria great again. Best of luck Mr. President. The Jagaban,” he added.
Edochie had earlier pleaded with Tinubu to free Nnamdi Kanu, the head of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
On Tuesday, Edochie pleaded with the President on Twitter.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has been guarding the IPOB leader since his detention and repatriation to Nigeria from Kenya two years ago.
On October 13, 2022, Kanu was released and found not guilty by the Abuja Court of Appeal, but the DSS refused to let him go.
The actor begged Tinubu, whom he said to as a man who spent three decades fighting for democracy, in a tweet today to release Kanu.
“To our Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, @officialABAT GCFR. The Jagaban,” Edochie tweeted.
“A man who has fought for democracy for 3 decades, A builder & supporter of men & women. My President, please release Nnamdi Kanu. A humble request from your son, Yul Edochie.”
