The CEO and co-founder of CcHub, Bosun Tijani, was included in President Bola Tinubu’s second round of cabinet nominees on Wednesday.
Wednesday saw the release of the list of 19 additional ministerial nominees made by the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The young techie from Lagos State named Bosun Tijani is one of these nominees. Tijani’s nomination is a positive event and a breath of new air for Nigeria’s digital sector, as it is anticipated that he would hold the position of Minister of Communications and Digital Economy with distinction.
PROFILE OF BOSUN TIJANI
1. Tijani was born in Agege, Lagos, and spent his formative years there before moving to Abeokuta, Ogun State for his secondary education.
2. In 1996, he moved to Jos to study at the University of Jos where he first started off studying for a diploma in Computer Science before going on to study Economics, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2002.
3. Tijani holds two degrees from the University of Jos: a BSc. in Economics and a Diploma in Computer Science. He subsequently obtained an MSc. in Information Systems and Management in 2007 from the Warwick Business School in England.
4. Notably, in March 2023, Tijani completed a PhD programme in Innovation and Economic Development at the University of Leicester.
5. He has led the expansion of CcHub across Nigeria, Kenya, and more recently, Namibia. From its humble beginnings in Yaba, CcHub has grown to become a significant catalyst for tech advancement in Africa by empowering young people with the tools, communities, and capital they need to launch impactful ventures.
6. With a N1bn growth fund, CcHub has committed to impacting over 95 early-stage businesses including those bringing innovation to Africa’s education and healthcare systems.
7. In 2017, New Africa Magazine named Tijani as one of the 100 most influential people in Africa.
