Abubakar Momoh’s transfer from the federal ministry of youth to the ministry of Niger Delta development has been authorised by President Bola Tinubu.
Adegboyega Oyetola was also reassigned by Tinubu to become the minister of marine and blue economy, according to a statement made on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s special assistant on media and publicity.
Momoh was given the ministry of youth when the presidency announced the list of ministers and their portfolios on August 16, whilst Gboyega, the former governor of Osun, was given the ministry of transportation.

Additionally, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, who was once tasked with overseeing the marine and blue economy, has been transferred to the ministry of the interior.
Sa’idu Alkali, initially designated as the minister of interior, has been reassigned to the ministry of transportation.
The presidential spokesperson said both ministers of state in the oil and gas sector are now domiciled in the federal ministry of petroleum resources.
While Ekperipe Ekpo, who was named as minister of state, gas petroleum, is now minister of state (gas), petroleum resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, previously appointed as minister of state, petroleum resources, is the minister of state (oil), petroleum resources.
Ngelale added that Tinubu also approved the renaming of the federal ministry of environment and ecological management as the federal ministry of environment.
He said all the changes are with immediate effect.
