Seyi Awolowo: Lagos Govt Condemns BBNaija Housemate’s “sexist’ Comment, Netizens React (VIDEO)

Controversial Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Seyi Awolowo is under criticism after sexist comments relating to girl children during a conversation with fellow housemates, Whitemoney, Soma and Pere.

Seyi Awolowo said, “I gave birth to a boy first; he will fuck your daughter. I created miscellaneous accounts for my son, my friend’s sons in order to fuck your daughters.”

Reacting via a statement on Sunday, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency (DSVA) condemned the housemate for the remarks which “perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse.”

The statement also berated the trio of Whitemoney, Soma and Pere for their passive response.

“The bystanders’ passive response in the video is also deeply concerning because it only enables such behavior to persist. It is important for us all to actively speak up in circumstances such as this.

“Together, we can work towards creating a society that truly values consent and is free from violence.”
