The circumstances surrounding the death of artiste Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has triggered a hashtag on Twitter #JusticeForMohbad.
This came after over 126,000 people have signed a petition to ban Marlian Music.
Marlin Records is a music record label owned by Naira Marley, who was accused of complicity in the singer’s death.

Marlin Records houses musicians like CBlvck, Zinoleesky, and Fabian Blu.
The petition campaign, which began on Friday and is titled “Ban Marlin Music’’ has garnered over 126,574 petitions as of press time on Friday.
The petition, which was started by the Gistlover blog, described Marlian Records as a drug syndicate disguised as a music record label.
It reads, “How his life was cut short, how his fundamental rights as a human being were trampled upon just before his demise. The perpetrators of the acts include Sam Larry and Naira Marley.”

Meanwhile, Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley says the death of Mohbad has left him heartbroken because he was more than an artist or a signee, but a brother and dear friend.
Naira Marley in a statement he shared on his Instagram handle described Mohbad as “an incredible street pop star who contributed to the foundation of the Marlian Music.”
In another twist, Lagos socialite and show promoter, Samson Erinfolabi Balogun, popularly known as Sam Larry, who was accused of having a hand in the death of singer Mohbad, has finally broken his silence.
Sam Larry, an associate of the owner of Marlian Music that formerly signed Mohbad, Naira Marley, came under heavy fire on the internet after a video of him and his men disrupting Mohbad’s video shoot with Zlatan Ibile surfaced on social media.
Addressing the allegations in a trending video on social media, Larry denied having a hand in Mohbad’s death, describing him as his beloved brother.
“Mohbad is my brother. When he was signed to Marlian Records, he knew I loved him so much. Even his wife and everyone else know that I love Mohbad.
“Everywhere I go, whether it is Kenya or Dubai, I will call him so that we can go together. I will pay Marlian Records for a show, and we will go together.
“The videos going viral happened last year when I was not in the country. So, I can’t kill Mohbad, God sees my heart, and I love him so much. I don’t know anything about his death.”
In reactions on X as of Saturday, many Netizens made their grouse known on the matter.

Every day we get to see different painful videos of Mohbad.
That boy fought heavy battles at a young age before he died.

Mohbad's corpse needs to be exhumed from the grave.
An autopsy will put so many people behind bars and give answers. He was too young to die such a horrible death. A warrant should be given before they tamper with evidence.
Many things need to be unraveled#JusticeForMohbad
