The Supreme Court has denied Atiku Abubakar’s request to submit new evidence in his lawsuit against President Bola Tinubu.
In the most recent general election, Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University contained proof that Atiku, the PDP’s presidential candidate, had requested the court to accept.
Atiku’s proposed deposition, according to Okoro, is “one of substance,” but it violates the Electoral Act since it states that “no amendment shall be made after the expiration of the time for presenting election petition.”
