EID: Tinubu Calls on Nigerians to Sustain Acts of Kindness Beyond Ramadan
President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to continue with the good deeds taught during the month of Ramadan.
He made the call shortly after observing the Eid-El-Fitr prayers at the National Eid ground Abuja on Sunday.
The President advised the citizens not to go back to the past but to live a life of piety and commitment to good deeds.
Also at the Eid ground were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, some members of the Federal Executive Council and lawmakers among others.
Muslims in Nigeria and millions of others around the world are celebrating Eid-El-Fitr, marking the end of holy month of Ramdan.
Eid-El-Fitr, meaning the festival of breaking the fast, is a time of gratitude, charity and communal harmony.
It begins with special prayers known as Eid prayers held in Mosques and open spaces. Following the prayers, families share festive meals, exchange gifts and extend warm greetings.
