Coronavirus infections toll in Nigeria has exceeded the 10,000 mark as the country records 307 new COVID-19 cases in 14 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement late Sunday via its Twitter handle, bringing total confirmed infections to 10,162.
Its tweet reads;

It would be recalled that on May 29th, Nigeria hit the over 9,000 cases, indicating an additional 860 cases (about 10% increase) between Friday and Sunday, May 31st.
Also, with the record of 151 newly discharged patients, there are now 3007 successfully managed cases.
However, death toll grew by 14 deaths, increasing total coronavirus casualties from 273 confirmed yesterday to 287.
Meanwhile, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 60,825 to 62,583 as at May 30th, according to NCDC’s situation report.
In other news, 312 Indian nationals have been evacuated from Nigeria on Sunday as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
This was announced in a tweet by the High Commission of India in Abuja, adding that the aircraft conveying the evacuees departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
It noted that the flight, operated by a Nigerian airline Air Peace, is the first indigenous airline to fly directly to India.
