It is however uncertain what the next move of Governor Obaseki will be as it pertains to the 2020 Edo governorship election.
It is speculated that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may be the governor’s next stop as the party as he was seen over the weekend in meetings with different members of PDP.
Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president, had reportedly asked Obaseki to join the PDP, and making way for him to get the party’s ticket.
The governor also met with two PDP governors, Nyesom Wike, Rivers state governor, and Emmanuel Udom, over the weekend.
