Breaking: Total COVID-19 Toll Exceeds 48,000 As NCDC Confirms 373 New Cases
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 373 new COVID-19 cases as total toll surpasses 48,000 on Thursday, August 13.
This comes two days after the country recorded over 47,000 coronavirus infections. Between August 11 and August 13, 826 new cases were recorded.
In the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, there are now;

It would be recalled that on Thursday, there was 47,743 total cases, 33,943 recoveries and 956 deaths across the country.
With the new toll, there are now 48,116 total cases, 34,309 recoveries and 966 causalities nationwide.
Also, with NCDC’s August 12 situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 338,084 to 341,421.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the inclusion of the General Hospital Onitsha, Anambra state to its molecular laboratory network.
With the inclusion, there are now 63 laboratories with the capacity to test for COVID-19 in the laboratory network.
