Just In: Total COVID-19 Caseload Hits Over 56,000 As NCDC Confirms 188 New Cases
Total coronavirus caseload in Nigeria has exceeded 56,000 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 188 new cases.
The new toll comes 5 days after the country’s total coronavirus surpassed the 55,000 threshold.
In the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, there are now;

It would be recalled that on Thursday, Nigeria’s total COVID-19 toll surpassed to 55,829 with 43,810 recoveries and 1,075 casualties across the country.
However, with the new toll, there are now 56,017 total cases, 43,998 recoveries and 1,076 fatalities nationwide.
In other news, two new labs have been activated for inclusion in the NCDC Molecular Laboratory Network: Federal Medica Centre, GeneXpert Laboratory, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi state and Plateau State Human Virology Research Center (PLASVIREC), Plateau state.
