Cardi B To Amend Divorce Filling To Joint Custody Of Daughter, Kulture With Offset And No Spousal Support
American rapper, Cardi B has left her fans shocked when news broke on Tuesday September 15, that she is filing for divorce from her rapper husband, Offset.
This comes three years after their secret marriage and the birth of their two-year-old daughter, Kulture.
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has been plagued with crises. The rapper had previously announced her decision to divorce her husband in 2017 over cheating allegations.
Offset made a public apology at one of her biggest festival performances at Rolling Loud after which the pair reconciled but are now battling more marital issues.
Fulton County superior court confirmed that the divorce petition has been filed in Superior Court, Fulton County, Georgia by Belcalis Almanzar (Cardi B’s real name) v. Kiari Cephus (Offset’s given name).
In the divorce filing, Cardi has initially requested for legal custody and primary physical custody of their daughter.

However, it was gathered that the Bodak Yellow hitmaker is planning to amend her divorce filings after her lawyer who filed the petition, ‘went a bit far’.
According to TMZ, Cardi wants to share custody of Kulture with Offset because she is determined to have an amicable co-parenting situation, and is already in touch with her lawyer to have the document amended to reflect her wishes.
It is also reported that the rapper does not want any support from Offset, as opposed to child support requested in her divorce petition.
The divorce news came days after Cardi posted a cryptic quote to her Instagram story that reads; “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time… it’s time”.
