Billionaire Kylie Jenner Slammed For Asking Fans To Donate Towards Makeup Artist’s Surgery
American media personality and billionaire, Kylie Jenner has come under fire for asking her fans to donate to an emergency fund for a popular makeup artist’s life-saving surgery rather than paying the entire bill herself.
The makeup artist, Samuel Rauda recently suffered life-threatening injuries in a car accident that left him requiring brain surgery.
Amid request for funds to cater for his medical bills, the 23-year-old star requested her followers go to a GoFundMe campaign to donate after she already chipped in $5,000.
The initial goal of the campaign was $10,000 and $6,000 was already donated, however she added another $5,000, bringing the total donation over its initial to goal. Following this, the amount pledged ballooned to over $100,000 after Jenner’s support became public.
According to DailyMail, the GoFundMe campaign, which was started on March 16, has raised $97,443 with an updated goal of $120,000; the organizers initially sought to raise $10,000 for Rauda’s medical care.

In an Instagram live, Kylie Jenner sent out thoughts and prayers to her stylist and simultaneously asked for monetary help that will go to his GoFundMe page.

Nevertheless, fans were quick to take on Jenner – who is worth around $1billion thanks to the success of her Kylie Cosmetics – for not doing more for the makeup artist she worked with twice in 2015 when he was a stylist.
People were enraged to find out that Kylie Jenner only donated $5,000 and decided to ask her fans to help donate the rest despite being a billionaire.
Many have now taken to their social media outlets, particularly Twitter, to voice their disapproval of Jenner’s donation.
Twitter users were in complete disbelief after witnessing her request as Jenner boasts an extremely lavish lifestyle. She was paid $1.2m per Instagram post in 2019 and continues to reportedly rake in nearly $20,000 on an hourly basis.
Many fans were shocked to learn that she wasn’t willing to help out with the surgery herself despite the financial security and that she’d asked her fans to help out.
Having been named the youngest-ever self-made billionaire by Forbes in 2019, Jenner’s net worth has reportedly declined to US$700 million – which still means her employee’s medical costs are just a fraction of her daily income.
Many began to point out how small Jenner’s donation was comparative to her staggering fortune, which is frequently evidenced by the luxury goods and holidays featured on her Instagram page.
One said she buys her young child, Stormi Webster diamond rings and luxury Birkin bags yet she can’t foot the bill of her friend and crucial employee.
