Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has released a video of Yoruba actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha confessing that he sexually molested a 14-year-old girl, following reports about plans to release the accused for police custody.
According to ThePunch, a senior officer at Lagos State Police Command confirmed that a directive has been given for the release of Baba Ijesha, from cell after being arrested for allegedly raping teenager.

The police source said the ongoing strike action by members of Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria has prevented courts in the state from sitting and this has prevented the police from arraigning the suspect, adding that Baba Ijesha cannot be detained indefinitely without trial.

The source added that investigation into the case shows the actor did not defile the victim, adding that when she was questioned, the victim confirmed the same.
The senior police officer stated;
There was no case of defilement, people are just talking out of sentiment. They are not talking from the point of law. We interviewed all parties involved in the case for three hours today (Wednesday).
The mother complained that her child was at the age of seven when she was defiled and the child pointed at Baba Ijesha. But the case was not reported until she was 14 years and under the law, the case has become statute-barred.

However, the position of the police has angered many Nigerians, including Iyabo Ojo, who has been very vocal about demanding for justice for the young child.
Reacting to the bail plan, the actress via her Instagram page vowed to counter every attempt to grant bail to Baba Ijesha, saying;
This live video is for the people in charge of this case. We are going to say no to molestation and yes I stand to use one of my own as a scape goat. If they release Baba Ijesha, we are going to rearrest him and this will no longer be a state thing, it will now become Federal.

In latest development on Thursday, the mother of two has now released an 8-minute video of Baba Ijesha confessing to have sexually molested the child when she was just 7-year-old and also now that she is 14.
In the video seen by MDB, the Yoruba actor at some point blamed the devil for his action, then later stated that he has no explanation for why he betrayed the trust of popular comedienne, Damilola Adekoya, aka Princess, who is the foster mother of the teenager involved.
