Rape Case: Iyabo Ojo And Princess Promised To Kill Baba Ijesha If Released – Yomi Fabiyi Alleges
Actor, Yomi Fabiyi has on Tuesday alleged his colleague, Iyabo Ojo and comedienne, Princess, vowed to kill actor, Baba Ijesha, if he is released from police custody.
Recall that Baba Ijesha was arrested last month after he confessed to molesting the teenager and Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the actor sexually assaulted the 14-year-old girl when she was just seven-year-old and recently.

Following this, there were reports that he may be released on bail soon, sparking outrage from many Nigerians including the foster mother of the teenager, popular comedienne, Princess and actress, Iyabo Ojo.

Reacting later on, Lagos police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu stated that Baba Ijesha would remain in custody pending the legal advice from the Ministry of Justice.
Odumosu who told newsmen that the allegation against Baba Ijesha was sexual/ indecent assault which is bailable and not defilement, said the suspect was still being held at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Giving its legal advice few days ago, DPP advised Lagos police command to filed five charges against the Yoruba comic actor.
The advice was given by DPP which revealed that Baba Ijesha may be sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty in court.

However, Yomi Fabiyi, who has been supportive of Baba Ijesha, has been calling for the bail of the actor, condemning his continuous detention without trial.
Making his latest allegation via his Instagram page this morning May 11, he announced that a protest will be held in Lagos tomorrow to demand the release of the actor.
Fabiyi in series of Instagram post said;
PEACEFUL PROTEST on Human Rights, Illegal Detention by Police coming up on Wednesday if the Police refuse to do the right thing and grant BABA IJESHA administrative bail which is his fundamental rights.
Any progressive state and society MUST respect the RIGHTS of others as enshrined under the law. If you refuse to be concerned now, remember it could be you. FORCEFUL ARREST, ILLEGAL IMPRISONMENT is a major tool of OPPRESSION and POLICE BRUTALITY. We must protest against this vehemently.
