Breaking: General Joshua Dogonyaro, Army Officer Who Read Coup Speech That Overthrew Buhari In 1985, Is Dead
Lieutenant General Joshua Dogonyaro, former Chief of Defence Staff during the regime of late General Sani Abacha, has reportedly passed away in the early hours of Thursday at 80.
According to Tribune, family sources said the Lieutenant General, who turned 80 on 12 September 2020, passed away at Jos University Teaching Hospital where he was admitted after a brief illness while his body have been deposited at Airforce Hospital in Jos, Plateau State.
One of the former officers of the deceased, Major Gabriel Adofiku (retd), who confirmed the death said he died around 3:30 a.m.
Dogonyaro is survived by his wife Zainab Esther Dogonyaro and seven children.
