A former presidential candidate and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has on Monday, May 31 been reportedly shot by a female police officer in Abuja.
It was gathered that he sustained gunshot injuries and has been rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Sowore, who confirmed the incident on his Twitter page, said he was shot at Unity Fountain in Abuja.
He wrote;

A popular lawyer and rights activist, Inibehe Effiong, confirmed the development on Twitter, saying;
@YeleSowore has just been shot by a female police officer at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.
The criminal officer is said to be an ACP. I watched Sowore being shot live on Facebook.
