Many Feared Killed As Armed Robbers Attack Bullion Van In Ibadan

Armed robbers have reportedly killed at least seven persons at Iwo Road area of Ibadan while attacking a bullion van.

The bullion van was attacked at Idi Ape junction, opposite a private school shortly after it left one of the banks in Ibadan.

According to TheNation, the bank is located a few metres away from the Testing Ground Police station which houses Agodi Area command of Nigeria Police Force in the state.

Newly installed traffic light in Idi-Ape had stopped the bullion fan when the robber started shooting sporadically at the van.

Unconfirmed online sources say four policemen and three civilians fell to the bullets of the robbers who shot sporadically while carrying out the operation.

A source in the area told DailyTrust that the attacked bullion van has been taken to the police headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan for further investigation.

Meanwhile, as the time of filing this report, the number of casualties was yet to be confirmed and Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Adewale Osifeso was yet to speak about the incident.
