Success of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the recently concluded APC presidential primary, according to Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, demonstrated his acceptance in the north as a bridge builder.
Ganduje made this comment on a congratulatory letter sent to Tinubu through his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, on Wednesday, June 8, in Kano state.
He said;
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s landslide victory in the just-concluded presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) shows his high degree of acceptability in the north, as a bridge builder.
The Governor noted that the entire process was calm, and he appreciated everyone who took part for encouraging good democratic practices.

As the 2023 general elections approach, Ganduje voiced optimism that the election would strengthen the APC.
He thanked northern governors for agreeing to hand up control to the south, as well as President Muhammadu Buhari for approving their proposal.
Ganduje further revealed;
This patriotic decision will further cement all parts of the country.
President Buhari’s role in making sure that democratic principles are safeguarded in the process is highly commendable and exemplary.
Ganduje called on all aspirants that could not make it at the primary election to support the winner in the interest of the party and nation in general.
Earlier, Tinubu was announced as victor on Wednesday, June 8, in a keenly-contested primaries during the special convention of the ruling party at the Eagle Square in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
A total of 2,322 ad-hoc delegates were drawn from the 35 states and FCT to participate in the primary to elect the APC flag bearer out of the aspirants jostling for the ticket. However, only 2,203 delegates were accredited to vote.
Tinubu polled 1,271 votes to emerge as the clear victor.
