Ahead of the general election in 2023, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has warned that the nation is under attack.
Consequently, Ortom asked all political parties in the nation to band together in order to save Nigeria from a “cabal” that has bad intentions for the nation.
The Governor made this call on Thursday, July 21, during an interview on Arise TV.
He said;
Nigeria is under siege. There is a cabal that doesn’t mean well for Nigeria.
So we need all hands to be on deck and every other people in other political parties to see how we can rescue our country, Nigeria.
This occurs less than a day after Ortom, who had been on a two-week work leave in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, returned to Nigeria.

Recall that on Wednesday morning in Abuja, top party and state government officials welcomed Ortom at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The governor had urged the American government and the world community to hold President Muhammadu Buhari and his government accountable for the killings in Nigeria during his visit to the United States.
Ortom made the call while speaking with State Department representatives in Washington, DC.
Alleged Fulanisation
During the interview, the Governor alleged the Fulanisation of the country saying;
I reported my version of the reality of what is happening in Nigeria because of the questions asked by lawmakers and civil society groups. They were talking about climate change while refusing to discuss the real issues. They didn’t talk about Islamising to use as a shield by some Fulanis to Fulanise Nigeria. This is because the indigenous Fulanis open their doors to the foreign ones.
Of course, I cannot report Nigeria to another sovereign country but we must do everything to prevent anarchy which will affect the international community.
