Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State has lost his polling unit to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the 2023 gubernatorial election.
Sanwo-Olu, who is vying for a second term in office, defeated his co-contenders with 29 votes.
Rhodes-Vivour received 18 ballots, while Peoples Democratic Party candidate Olajide Adeniran, also known as Jandor, polled two votes.

Meanwhile, House of Assembly election at the polling unit, the APC polled 34, LP 15, while PDP polled one vote.

In other news, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (retd), said he was worried by the conduct of the election in Bauchi, the state capital
Abubakar, who is the immediate past Chief of Air Staff, made this known while speaking with journalists after voting at the Zirami Kofar Fada Polling Unit 001 in Giade Local Government Area of the state, adding that the reports he was getting from the state capital were worrisome.
Though he did not disclose the nature of the reports, the APC candidate said he was still observing happenings.
“We are worried in Bauchi town but we are closely watching what is going on. I believe we have a clear picture of what is going on,” Abubakar said, adding that the turnout of voters today was impressive enough.
