Rape Trends On Twitter As Lady Claims ‘Begging For Sex’ Equals Molestation
Rape according to Wikipedia can be described as the type of sexual assault involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without their consent.
A Twitter user identified as Lady Ladoke Udoh on Thursday, March 30 raised eyebrows after she claimed ‘begging for sex’ can also be described as rape.
The topic of discourse was instigated by a Twitter user who shared a thread disapproving of the notion that begging for sex equals sexual molestation.

The Twitter user identified as Wizarab wrote;
‘’”Begging for sex is rape”
IT DEFINITELY ISNT RAPE. Begging someone for sex to the point they agree might be exhausting and unhealthy but it isn’t rape. Rape has a clearly defined meaning.
So long as consent was affirmatively given, it isn’t rape.”
He went forward to write,
“No matter what you’re begging for, people won’t always consent at first. It is also important to pay attention to the person’s mood so you don’t push them to irritation and anger.
We need to be careful with how “rape” is thrown around. It is a serious offence.”

Responding, @LAJOKESAB said begging for sex is definitely a form of sexual molestation.
‘’It is definitely sexual molestation. The emotional manipulation that comes with being begged for sex is so exhausting and rigorous that a lot of women give in eventually to be raped.
If it was consensual, no one will have to beg.”

Is ‘Begging For Sex’ Seduction Or Rape
Following the sensitivity of the controversial topic, several netizens have made attempt to explain their perspective about the definition of rape.
Some netizens explained that begging for sex is a form of manipulation, hence, they describe it as manipulation. While some others maintained that begging their partner or their significant other for intimacy isn’t sex.
Below is a cross-section of comments from social media users.
All this ranting that ‘begging for sex’ is rape is mere emotional display which is not admissible in court. If u admit in law court that u said ‘yes’ after begging,it is then u will realize that the law is not crazy like u.
Be throwing tantrum on TL and not be firm with your NO.

If we consider their logic, seduction is even rape.
We know which gender uses seduction as a manipulative tool more https://t.co/RSTBhBjtiB— Colossus (@Colossie7) March 31, 2023
Mandem see valid explanations about rape by coercion and fight it tooth and nail to convince themselves it’s not rape because they only believe it’s rape when it’s forceful and agreeing would mean that they’re guilty so they’ll rather lie to themselves.

Stay away from any rape topic on twitter. Na trap

If it doesn't include force or threat, it is not coercion ergo not rape. Learn how to use words correctly, if you don't understand, ask or read.
It's you people that pontificate about how virtuous you are that usually have skeletons in their cupboard. https://t.co/NIJZHiraen

Consent is the willingness and ability to have intercourse freely without any form of inducement or coercion. This is what makes rape a very delicate subject and crime to prove. To me, if you have to beg or persuade someone to have sex with you, then you shouldn’t have it. https://t.co/q2wOhojenD

Thank you for being very detailed. This is rape and I'm very sorry you had to go through that.
I won't say more than this to respect your wishes at the end of the post. pic.twitter.com/Rg7JFrRSYj

Twitter keeps giving new meaning to rape. Begging automatically means coercion. If finally giving consent to sex after begging means rape, then finally doing someone a financial favor after they begged, means theft.
Wonder when begging became coercion.

a lot of men refuse to believe that coercion is rape because then they would have to accept the fact that they’re rapists https://t.co/JW68xpbrzL

The rate at which some of you are quick to use the word rape on this app, it will get to a time you won't be taken serious again because you've misused it a lot.

Begging someone for sex is not rape. It is important this is cleared up because of idiots who abuse words for agenda. It might be embarrassing to keep begging for sex like a hopeless person but it isnt rape.
You can call a person an asshole without accusing them of actual crime https://t.co/EEKXFmFgOU

There are too many women being raped/have rape stories for men to continually claim “not all men” or “none of my guys are like that”. They also pretend to be logical in friendships to avoid calling out bad behaviors of their male friends. https://t.co/uXBmLJ3x4C

I really don't care whether people beg or not. Heck, it's not even right to have to beg for sex that should be freely given. But words have meanings and you can't just dash everything into rape. We can decide to keep going down the tunnel and it has no ends.

"If he threatens to end the relationship if you don't have sex, it is rape."
I beg to differ.
If it is a relationship that has not been consummated and someone is threatening to quit the relationship because of sex, it is up to you to consent or let them leave.

Inasmuch as we are telling our men to stop begging for sex, we can't Criminalize it and say "Begging for sex is rape"
That's madness. Don't drown us in your wokeism. ✌

It doesn't end on Twitter and even if it is just Twitter, a rape allegation here is enough to destroy you.
It is important you thrash every stupid tweet that incriminate without cause. https://t.co/Ffg7jOsTn8

With the slippery slope of terming begging as outright manipulation and coercion. Seduction in its element by women to men in heterosexual relationships is a stronger form of manipulation and coercion and should be termed rape.
