Burna Boy Wins Best International Act In BET Awards
Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician best known by his stage name Damini Ogulu, has received the 2023 Black Entertainment Awards’ Best International Act honour.
The ‘African Giant’ singer won the most coveted category of the BET Awards by defeating competitors including Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy, among others.

Burna Boy wasn’t present for the performance, but his announcement as the winner was met with thunderous ovation.
The artiste has had an amazing last couple of years.
His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ was a worldwide success, and he already took home a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.
Other nominees in the category included Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles.
