Four Nigerian teenagers have captured international attention with their innovative invention: a generator powered by urine. Duro-Aina Adebola, Akindele Abiola, Faleke Oluwatoyin (all 14 years old), and Bello Eniola (15 years old) showcased their creation at the Maker Faire Africa event in Lagos.
The concept revolves around extracting hydrogen from urine, a readily available resource. The girls’ design utilizes an electrolytic cell to break down urea, a component of urine, into hydrogen, water, and nitrogen.
