Indian School Owners Kill 11-Year-Old Student in Sacrificial Ritual for Prosperity

A shocking and disturbing incident has unfolded in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where an 11-year-old student, Kritarth, was allegedly killed as part of a sacrificial ritual performed by the owners of his school, DL Public School. The police have arrested five individuals, including the school owner, director, principal, and two teachers, in connection with the gruesome crime.

The Events Unfold

On September 23, Kritarth was abducted from the school’s hostel by teacher Ramprakash Solanki, Dinesh Baghel, the school director, and Jasodhan Singh, the school owner. According to the police, Jasodhan Singh, who believes in tantrik rituals, had instructed his son Dinesh to sacrifice a child to ensure the prosperity of the school and their family.

The accused took Kritarth to a secluded location, intending to perform the sacrifice. However, the young boy woke up and began crying, prompting the accused to strangulate him. Veerpal Singh, another teacher, and Laxman Singh, the principal, were allegedly present at the scene, guarding the area.

The Investigation

After killing Kritarth, the accused informed his parents that he was unwell and being taken to the hospital in Baghel’s car. However, the family intercepted the vehicle and alerted the police about Kritarth’s death. During the investigation, the accused confessed to killing the student as a sacrificial offering for the school’s prosperity.

The police have lodged an FIR against the five accused under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 and have sent them to jail.

Similar Incidents of Human Sacrifice

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. There have been reports of human sacrifices in various parts of the world, including India. In 2023, five men were arrested for killing and decapitating a woman as part of a religious rite in Guwahati. In 2019, an Anti-balaka leader in the Central African Republic killed a 14-year-old girl in a ritualistic manner to increase profits from mines.
