Harry Kane, Pep Guardiola Win Premier League Awards For The Month Of February
Tottenham star Harry Kane has been named the Premier League Player of the Month of February.
Kane in February scored four Premier League goals in three games, including his hat-trick in Tottenham’s 4-0 home win over Stoke City.
This is the fourth Premier League Player of the Month award for the 23-year-old who is the highest goalscorer in the Premier League so far this season.
“It was a good month for me and obviously for the team as well, so it’s a real honour to accept this award,” the striker said after picking up his award.
In the same vein, Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month of February after leading Manchester City to three wins in three games.
The 46-year-old beat completion from Conte and other managers but believes his Chelsea counterpart should have gotten the award.
“I think Conte’s cupboard is full, that’s why they decided to give it to someone else,” the 46-year-old said.
In February, City won away at West Ham 4-0 at, beat Swansea 2-1 at the Etihad before their 2-0 win at 2-1 beat Bournemouth.
The Spanish manager beat off competition from Conte, Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho and West Brom’s Tony Pulis.
Guardiola’s side are currently third in the Premier League table and failed to get to second after they failed to beat Stoke City on Wednesday, March 8.
