The Vice chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has just confirmed that Senator Dino Melaye graduated from the school in 2000, although under a different name and with a 3rd class.
Earlier, Melaye appeared before Senate Committee on Ethics to defend himself against the allegation that he did not graduate from the school.
He presented documents such as acceptance letter, acceptance of offer of admission, result from ABU and final year dissertation to buttress his claims of being an ABU alumni.
Curiously, however, the senator said he changed his name from Daniel Melaye to Dino Melaye to did not present any affidavit to back up that claim.
