Renown veteran Yoruba Actor Ojo Arowosoge popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, is sick. This became public knowledge after a video of him pleading for financial assistance for his medical bills surfaced online.
The Actor who rose to stardom playing the role of the dreaded native doctor ‘Fadeyi Oloro’ is known for his interesting costumes designed with cowries, gourds amongst other objects synonymous with voodoo in this part of the world. He is said to have been hospitalized at Ile Epo General Hospital in Lagos. In the video posted online, he is seen mustering his strength to speak on camera and solicit for support from Nigerians.

The news of the actors ailment has resulted in questions being asked by curious minds, who wonder why many renown actors, especially from the Yoruba movie industry become sick later in life, have to turn to the public for support. People are also questioning why till now, no proper health insurance package has been put in place by associations governing the industry.
Just few weeks ago, another veteran Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe equally had to turn to the public for help over his failing health. Thankfully, he got the needed financial assistance for the chronic diabetes from well meaning Nigerians, including Philanthropist and Pastor Esther Ajayi.
At the height of his career, in the 2000’s Fadeyi Oloro was known for his ‘powerful’ charms and strong incantations in movies. He became known from the fierce anti-hero role he played in old Yoruba television soaps; Arelu and Yanponyanrin. Many people who know him personally however vouch that his real life persona is the total opposite of what he is known for on screen. They described him as a friendly, amiable and respectable man.
