Just In: NCAA To Shut Lagos And Abuja International Airports On Monday
Murtala Mohammed international airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja will be shut to all international flights effective on March 23.
The closure is to last for a month both for Lagos and Abuja in addition to the three others closed earlier.
This was made known in a statement by Director-General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Musa Nuhu.
He stated that;
Effective Monday, March 23, 2020 to 23rd of April 2020, the two aerodromes will be close to international flights.
According to him, the new measure is in addition to the closure of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu and the Port-Harcourt International Airport.
Captain Nuhu further stated that;
Henceforth, all airports in Nigeria are closed to all incoming international flights with the exception of emergency and essential flights, adding that domestic flights will continue normal operations at all airports.
The NCAA chief also directed all airlines to ensure they submit passenger manifest to Port Health authorities prior to arrival of flights into Nigeria.
