Breaking: Nigeria Announces 170 New Cases, 39 In Lagos
Total Coronavirus infection rate has hit 2588 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 170 new cases in the wee hours of Monday.
This was announced via the official handle of the centre, stating;

It would be recalled that as at Saturday night, total cases in Nigeria was 2388, 385 recoveries and 85 casualties.
However, with the new cases recorded, there are now 2558 total cases, 400 discharged and 85 deaths across the country.
Also, in an earlier tweet from NCDC, 17,566 samples has been tested nationwide as at May 2nd.

Meanwhile, in a COVID-19 report dated May 2nd, 35 states in Nigeria have recorded at least one case, with Cross River being the only state without a reported case so far.
In other news, Lagos State – the pandemic epicentre in Nigeria – on Sunday announced the discharge of 22 Coronavirus patients and the death of three fatal cases.
In a series of tweet, the Ministry of Health said the state has now recorded a total of 28 COVID-19 deaths and 247 discharged patients.
