The Zagami community in Yankara Ward, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State was on Wednesday night, thrown into mourning after bandits launched a deadly attack on the village, killing several residents including a three-day-old baby.
According to security analyst Dan Katsina, the bandits also abducted the baby’s mother along with other residents, including women and children.

In a post he shared on his X page on Thursday with the handle @Bakatsine, the security expert said the assailants stormed the village around 8pm on Wednesday night and opened fire indiscriminately.
Dan Katsina stated that the three-day-old infant was killed during the raid, while its mother was abducted by the attackers.
“ALERT: Around 8pm yesterday, bandits attacked Zagami community in Yankara Ward, Faskari LGA, Katsina State. Several were killed, many abducted. A 3-day-old baby was murdered and his mother taken,” he wrote.
