The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ireti Kingube, has dumped the Labour Party (LP) for the opposition coalition group’s adopted platform, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The senator confirmed the switch to journalists on Saturday.

She said the defection was a deliberate move and reaffirmed her commitment to ADC.

“I’m totally and completely committed to ADC,” Kingibe said.

“But obviously, as the senator representing the federal capital territory, don’t expect me to just take a lunch break and go and collect card. I want to do so with noise and fanfare.”
