English club Chelsea defeated Brazilian side Fluminense 2-0 in an entertaining FIFA Club World Cup semifinal clash on Tuesday night.
New signing Joao Pedro was the star of the game as he scored a brace against his former club to send Chelsea to the final.
Pedro, 23, scored the first in the 18th minute after defender Thiago Silva failed to clear Pedro Neto’s cross.

He scored his second, a powerful shot which went in off the bar in the 56th minute, to seal victory. The win ensures Chelsea add £22m to the £60m already earned at the competition.
Fluminense were stunned when the referee overturned his own decision to give a first-half penalty for a handball by Trevoh Chalobah after a VAR intervention.
The Blues will now go on to face either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s final at the same venue.
