The epic cucumber scandal involving former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke that brewed and dominated discussions towards the latter part of 2016 has subsided a bit for the main time pending a resolution by the court.
However, the victim is set to appear in a Lagos Court today to face one of the alleged blackmailers who reportedly leaked her controversial lesbian video.
According to The Due Process Advocates(DPA), the arraignment is a ‘closely guarded secret’ and the court location will not be made public for the safety of the former beauty queen.
“We are not disclosing the court for obvious reasons. But we will be in court,” said the DPA in a statement released on their Facebook page, adding that though they are not officially involved in the case, they will be “monitoring closely the development of the story.”
The activists added that Ms Okeke’s appearance today “is in relation to the arraignment of one of her blackmailers, the man she paid money into his account to avoid the release of the controversial sex video. The man is being arraigned today and we believe the DSS is the agency in charge of the case.”
This media nightmare started barely a year after she won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, a video which apparently showed the beauty queen and a female partner playing out a racy scene, sent social media on a meltdown.
Chidinma Okeke initially denied the tape, saying she was not the one in the leaked videos, but she later back-tracked and said she had been blackmailed by certain people in the state.
I thought she said she’s not the one in the video like chidinma also claimed…. But wait! Is lesbian now legalized in Nigeria or is her case is different for being an influential Ex-beauty Queen?
