Arsenal Star, Alexis Sanchez Fuels Rumors Of Chelsea Move

Amid growing speculation over his future, Alexis Sanchez has warned Arsenal to quickly improve or he would seek a move away from the club.

Arsenal’s dismal second-half of the season has seen them drop out of the Champions league places – six points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool – with fans and critics questioning the mentality of the players and under-fire manager Arsene Wenger.

With one year left on his current deal, Sanchez, who just returned from international duty with Chile, has made it clear that he would prefer to be part of a team that has a “winning mentality”, Goal writes.

I’d like to stay in the city, but for a team that is winning, that has a winning mentality,” the Chilean reportedly told El Grafico.

“I am happy in London and I hope to finish my contract with Arsenal. Hopefully Arsenal can push to win the big titles.

“I’m 28, I still have a lot ahead of me. I am a player that takes great care of myself.”

Despite interests from top European sides including Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, Premier League rivals Chelsea have emerged as his most credible suitor with manager Antonio Conte keen to add scoring power to his side.

The attacker won’t come on the cheap though, as Arsenal have already splashed a £50 million price tag on him.

But with increasing uncertainty over the future of Wenger and playmaker Mesut Ozil, Arsenal are in a desperate position to keep their biggest star or risk thickening the gloom at the Emirates.
