NCDC Announces 35 New Coronavirus Cases

Nigeria has confirmed thirty-five new cases of Coronavirus, 19 of which were reported in Lagos, 9 in FCT, 5 in Kano and 2 in Oyo state.

This was made known in a series of tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at 10:20pm on Thursday night.

The Centre also reported that with the new cases, there are now 442 confirmed cases nationwide.

In a follow up tweet, the NCDC revealed that Lagos remains the worst-hit state with 251 cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 67.

Kano state has also witnessed an increase to 21 cases after a spike in less than 48 hours.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had on Wednesday night reported 34 new cases of coronavirus.

18 of which were reported in Lagos, 12 in Kano, 2 in Katsina and one case each in Delta and Niger.

As at April 15, there were 407 Coronavirus cases, 128 discharged and 12 deaths nationwide.

With the newly announced cases, there are now a total of 442 Coronavirus cases across the country, as well 152 discharged cases and 13 deaths.

Meanwhile, three COVID-19 patients were been discharged on Thursday in Ogun state.

The state government disclosed this in a tweet by Tomi Coker, the state commissioner for health.

She also said the ministry has been able to trace about 210 contacts of the COVID-19 patients, and 110 of them have been discharged.

Other Coronavirus patients were discharged today across the country, which include 5 patients in Lagos, 3 patients in Bauchi state and 2 discharged from Kwara state isolation Centre.

Total number of discharged cases nationwide has now risen to 152.
