Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has allegedly refused to administer medical treatment to an 18-year-old sales girl who was allegedly raped by a dispatch rider in Bariga area of Lagos state.

The shop owner, Temitope Bukola @_Temitopebukola took to Twitter to raise alarm about the incident.

Bukola stated that after admission of the girl at LUTH, the hospital asked her to drop charges before the young girl is administered Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) medication.

She also said DPO at Ilaje Police Station has not been reached in order to formerly lodge the case.

Bukola claimed that police women at Sabo police station and Ilaje police station also made snide comments at the girl, asking her why she did not raise an alarm while she was being raped.

Bukola went ahead to describe the man saying;

She asserted that after the young girl told her about the incident, she drove her to an hospital for medical treatment.

The lady said some tests were done at the hospital and the doctor’s report revealed that there was forceful penetration.

Many Nigerians on Twitter have bashed LUTH for refusing to treat the sales girl and the policewomen for mocking the victim.
