Breaking: NCDC Confirms 595 New Coronavirus Cases, 293 Recoveries

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 595 new cases of coronavirus and 293 recoveries on Thursday.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

On Wednesday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 34,000 mark having 34,259 cases with 13,999 discharged patients and 760 causalities.

However, with the new toll, there are now 34,854 total cases, 14,292 recoveries and 769 death cases across the country.

Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 199,016 to 202,097 as at July 15.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles and Genk club striker, Paul Onuachu, has recovered from coronavirus and is billed to resume training with the rest of the squad on Friday.

Onuachu last week tested positive for COVID-19 on his return to Belgium from Nigeria after and was placed in isolation but the latest tests carried out on the striker came out negative.

Genk’s manager, Hannes Wolf, said the Nigerian will join his teammates in training on Friday.
